Okay, I know it has been a while and you have all probably stopped visiting our blog. Sorry about the lapse. This summer should be a little more exciting and hopefully I publish a lot more posts. The first event of the summer was that Lexi and I got to go to Lagoon with my aunt Tami and mom. It was the perfect day to go, wasn't too hot (but then we didn't get to go on any wet rides). While we were there we saw lots of old friends, it was great.

Lexi thought she was so big when we were there. She would just cruise around and people would just stare and adore her. We're not getting as many jaw drops from her walking as we did at 8 months but people still ask, "How old is she?"

Lexi saw a couple of kids sitting on a curb drinking a slurpee. She just stared at them for a while until they left. Right after they left she must of thought she could sit on the curb too, that's exactly what she did. It was dang cute. She started clapping because she got so excited. And yes, she does have a gut, we just ate.This weekend we are going up to Pineview to camp and do some boating. I will be sure to take some pictures of everyone and try to keep our blog updated. I've attached a recent photo of Lexi and her dad. It isn't from any particular day but it's cute. My only complaint is that I don't have any pictures with Lexi because I'm the one who takes them, oh well.

We have to show off our beautiful daughter. Corey Burk took some wonderful pictures. I only wish she would have been in a better mood but they still turned out great.

Lexi's First Steps

At only 7 months Lexi is taking her first steps on her own. She sure can get around when she has something to hold on to but now she is balancing and able to take a few steps without holding on to anything. We're excited and yet very nervous at the same time. We better make sure we baby proof the house, she's mobile! Any day now she'll be walking:)

We all had fun at Jill's shower. The food was yummy and Jill made it all worth it with her smiles.

Maybe I'll hold back on letting her feed herself with sweet potatoes for a while. It got everywhere, clean up took a while.

All about Lexi

We have been watching Lexi grow. Her personality is really starting to come out. We thought the video was really cute, especially the laugh. She is the center of our lives right now.

We have had some Curt and Britt time though. Just the other day we played Jenga. We want to play it with our dad, Cecil. He does't like games but we thought maybe he'll like it. We'll keep you posted on if he does.

Lexi also loves the water. Here she is enjoying a bath in the sink. Her sitting up skills are very strong now. She is also rolling all around. We don't think it will be long until she is crawling. She is just too curious to stay in one spot.

Goodbye Cydni

WE MISS YOU!

Our first baby that we had for 2 years is now in a new and better home. Cydni is a red heeler whom we had in our little condo. We found the perfect home for her which is so much more than what we could offer. She found a new home in Mapleton, Utah where she will actually be able to be around horses, have lots of land to run in, and maybe heard some cattle. It was too good to be true and we are so excited for her. We miss her a lot but this is so much better for her. It was a perfect fit with the family and the circumstances.
