Saturday Dec 20th

Two great things happened on Saturday. First we went to Curt's family for a Christmas dinner. We had a fantastic soup bowl and lots of other yummies. We had lots of fun exchanging gifts, eating, and just visiting. Lexi was the center of attention for parts of it.
Then we also got a Christmas tree. Let me tell you how it happened. First, Curtis an I thought that we didn't need to put up a Christmas tree this year. Then we had a discussion after the party that there was less than a week before Christmas and we still didn't feel the Christmas spirit. With that said Curtis left for his hockey game. He went to pick up his friend, Craig, to carpool at 10PM. On their way to the game they saw a Christmas tree standing up next to a stop sign. They thought it was unusual and just kept on driving to the game. On their way home around 1AM the tree was still there. Curtis decided to bring it home. With the help of Craig they got the tree home, went and got some lights to put on it, and surprised me at 3AM when the baby woke me up. It was a great surprise. I was impressed by how nice the tree was. Curtis is thinking that someone got the tree after Thanksgiving and is going out of town so they put it out. He thinks this because it had one bulb that they missed. We both feel a little more Christmas spirit now. We will never go without a tree again!
